Get Involved

Throughout the year, there are various events where community volunteers are vital in helping Tucker Park.

These include park clean up days, special events and environmental education efforts.

Some of the professional and volunteer collaborators who have assisted Tucker Park include:

  • State agencies: Virginia Department of Forestry, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries

  • Local associations and civic groups:  Goochland County Chamber of Commerce, 35 Mile Drive Association, Goochland County Historical Society, James River Advisory Council, James River Association, Goochland Rotary Club, Audubon Society, Goochland Garden Club, and Boy Scout troops.  

  • Local government: Virginia Cooperative Extension, Goochland County Board of Supervisors, Recreation Advisory Commission, Economic Development Authority, Public Schools’ Board and Administration, Community Development Department, and Parks, Recreation and Facilities Management Department
